Industry veteran brings 20 years of construction and development experience to leadership role
Laguna Development, has named Tim O’Neil as its new president, effective July 27, 2026. O’Neil brings 20 years of construction and development experience to the role, where he will oversee day-to-day operations and support the company’s continued growth in Southwest Florida.
As president, O’Neil will manage construction, quality control, scheduling, safety, field execution, team leadership and company performance. He will also focus on maintaining the strong team and high standards Laguna Development’s clients expect as the company continues to grow.
“I look forward to this next chapter of my career in Southwest Florida and the opportunity to bring the best to the area,” said O’Neil. “My priority is to maintain a solid team that can deliver what is expected of our most high-end clients. My goal is to grow the team steadily while maintaining the high standards our clients have come to expect.”
O’Neil began his career as a carpenter in 2002 and has spent the past two decades working in construction and development. Before joining Laguna Development, he spent the last 10 years developing land and building amenity centers throughout Southwest Florida. His earlier experience includes building mid-rise buildings in Tiburon and Talis Park.
He holds a Certified General Contractor license and a Florida real estate sales associate license. He is also a member of the Collier Building Industry Association and the Urban Land Institute.
O’Neil’s connection to Naples dates back to 1998, when his family moved to the area. That same year, he joined the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 2001.
In his new role, O’Neil will support Laguna Development’s work across a range of projects in Collier County, including luxury homes, clubhouses and commercial tenant improvements. The company’s current project portfolio reflects its ability to work across residential, amenity and commercial construction.
“Laguna Development’s versatility is one of the things I’m most excited to continue building on,” said O’Neil. “We have the opportunity to deliver a variety of projects for our clients, and I’m looking forward to what’s ahead.”
O’Neil said his leadership approach centers on treating people fairly and helping them grow, with a focus on building a team that can meet the expectations of Laguna Development’s clients.
